ECR event: Excursion to Effelsberg

All ECRs of SFB1491 are invited to join the excursion to Effelsberg!

The Effelsberg Radio Telescope, operated by the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, is one of the largest fully steerable radio telescopes in the world, with a 100 m diameter dish. Built in the 1970s, the Effelsberg Radio Telescope remains a cutting-edge instrument in radio astronomy thanks to a continuous upgrade scheme.

We will also visit the LOFAR station located next to the 100 m dish.
